Meet Us at The Source
It all starts at The Source. The beer is brewed here,
the memories are made here. Good Things Spring From Here.
Food
We host a rotating lineup of Gainesville's best local food trucks on site every day we're open, bringing fresh flavors from some of the area's most creative kitchens. From tacos and pizza to Caribbean, Brazilian, chicken sandwiches, and more, there's always something worth eating alongside your beer. At least one truck is on site whenever we're open, with more rolling in for busy days and events.
Events
There's always something happening at First Magnitude. From live local music and weekly trivia nights to art markets, monthly guided bird walks, and community fundraisers, we host a little bit of everything for everyone. Whatever brings you through the door, you're welcome here.

The Beer Garden
Our beer garden is the heart of First Magnitude. A sprawling, oak-shaded outdoor space with covered decks, picnic tables, and Adirondack seating, it's Florida outdoor living at its best: Spanish moss overhead and a cold beer in hand. The 16-ft LED screen is always ready for watch parties, and the stage comes alive for live music. We have the space and the vibe for a chill out afternoon or a party like none other.
The Taproom
Welcome to The Source. Our taproom is home to 26 taps pouring First Magnitude flagships, taproom exclusives, ciders, kombucha and seltzer, and wine, plus a selection of canned NA beers and bottled craft sodas. Large screens, plenty of seating, and a great place to enjoy a pint and some good company.
The Drift Front Patio
Our newest space, the Drift Front Patio is a covered botanical wonderland complete with lush planters and hanging baskets. Plenty of seating, large screens for watching the game or hosting a presentation, and a welcoming atmosphere make it a great place to gather.

Frequently Asked Questions
You have questions, we have answers!
-
While we love our pups and pets, we can't allow them at the brewery. First Magnitude is located in a Gainesville Sip and Stroll area, so you can take beers to go and enjoy them with your pup along the Hawthorne Trail or at Depot Park, both right next door. Well-behaved service dogs are always welcome.
-
We have several parking lots surrounding the brewery. During large events, parking may be limited, so biking and rideshare are encouraged. View our parking map here [link placeholder].
-
We're family friendly and welcome guests of all ages. We have a zero tolerance policy for underage drinking. Any guest attempting to drink underage, or helping someone else do so, will be asked to leave immediately.
-
Kids are always welcome, with adult supervision at all times. We welcome everyone here, so we ask that all guests, little ones included, stay mindful of other guests enjoying their visit.
-
We make great beer. Our local food truck partners make great food, with trucks on site every day we're open. Check out our food truck schedule here.

We don't currently have a formal tour program.

Very! We're right off the Hawthorne Trail, with bike racks at our front entrance off SE Veitch St. and just inside the beer garden entrance off our SE 10th Ave lot.
-
Our wine is gluten free, and our ciders are made with gluten free ingredients, though they're produced in a facility that also uses gluten. Ask your food truck of the day about their gluten free options too.

Definitely. We make our own cider and mead in house (mead when available), pour red, white, and rosé wine on tap, and brew our own seltzer and kombucha. We also stock bottled craft sodas and canned NA beers, so there's something for everyone.
