Host An Event
Your Event. Our Space.
First Magnitude has always been a place where people come together. Whether you're celebrating, connecting, or just looking for a setting that feels a little more like Gainesville and a little less like everywhere else, we'd love to host you.
We've seen it all here: weddings, birthday parties, club gatherings, family reunions, Greek formals, conference after parties, and everything in between. If that sounds like your kind of place, you're in the right spot.
Our spaces are named after the beers we brew, a nod to the springs, the stars, and the great outdoors that inspire everything we make. Keep reading to find the right fit for your group, and when you're ready to rock, fill out the form at the bottom of the page, and we'll be in touch.

Event Frequently Asked Questions
-
There is not normally a charge to reserve our spaces.
However, we may charge a fee to reserve spaces if you are requesting full use of an area and your group is smaller than that space's capacity, or if you'll be using it in a way that doesn't allow other guests in the space. For example, requesting full use of the Drift Front Patio for a presentation using our TVs, or with a group smaller than the patio's capacity.
We may also charge a reservation fee for very large groups that require us to bring in additional staff, or if you're requesting a specific area during a high-volume time of the week or year.
-
You can privately rent out the whole brewery on Mondays when we aren't open to the public, or on any day before we open. This is subject to availability, group size, and other events that may be going on.
We may also be able to offer semi-private rentals during open hours depending on other events and the day of the week.

Birthday celebrations, social gatherings, weddings, bridal showers, baby showers, business meetings, happy hours, meet and greets, conference socials, festivals, bring them on!

We have wonderful food truck partners on-site daily that we encourage you to use, and some offer catering menus we're happy to provide.
You're also welcome to bring in your own food or outside catering for your event, and we’re happy to set up additional folding tables for that. Please let our event coordinator know your plans so we what to expect and can accommodate appropriately.
PLEASE, DO NOT BOOK YOUR OWN FOOD TRUCK for a reservation during regular business hours, since we already have one on-site.
If you're hosting a private event when we're closed to the public, we can help you book a specific food truck.

We pour 26 taps total: beer and cider we make in-house, three wines, a mead tap, and two non-alcoholic taps for kombucha and seltzer. We also carry bottled craft sodas, canned NA beers, and water on tap. Our license does not allow liquor on premises. If you'd like to bring in non-alcoholic drinks, just ask. OUTSIDE ALCOHOL IS NOT ALLOWED.
-
We're happy to work with you to budget your group tab. We can set one up one of two ways: a roll of tickets to hand out to your guests, each redeemable at the bar for a drink of their choice and added to your tab, or wristbands for an open bar with drinks added to your tab. We don't sell tickets individually or in bulk ahead of time, the tab is settled at the end of your event. Drinks range from $3 to $10, with most falling around $7, which can help with budgeting. An automatic 20% gratuity is added to all group tabs. We appreciate as much advance notice as possible to make sure everything's ready when you arrive.
-
Food trucks are already on-site during our regular hours, so there's no need to book one.
PLEASE, DO NOT BOOK YOUR OWN FOOD TRUCK for a reservation during regular business hours.
We may be able to accommodate requests for specific trucks for your event date, just keep in mind we schedule our food trucks a few months in advance, so let us know your preference, and we'll see what we can do.
For private events when we're closed to the public, we're happy to help arrange a specific truck.

Depending on the size and nature of your event, you may be able to book your own live music to play on our stage or patio, space and schedule permitting. All musicians must be approved by our Event Coordinator; we like to confirm everything ahead of time to make sure the music is a great fit for all of our guests. We ask that bands bring their own PA, though we do have one available to rent if needed.
-
We have speakers and microphones available to rent, subject to the size and scope of your event. Ask our Event Coordinator about costs and availability.

Yes, you're welcome to bring decorations for your event. All decorations must be cleaned up before you leave. No taping or pinning to our painted walls, and no glitter or confetti.

Yes, we're a family-friendly brewery and welcome guests of all ages, including teens and young adults. We do ID everyone at the bar, so anyone ordering alcohol will need to show valid ID. Kids must stay with you at all times and be mindful of other guests' experience.
-
In case of rain, we will attempt to accommodate your group in a different location, whether that's a covered space or, for smaller groups, the taproom. This can be affected by other reservations or events happening that day.
-
Kegs and growlers are available for purchase, but they're meant to be enjoyed off premises, not consumed at the brewery during your event.
Request a keg here, or grab growlers to go right from the taproom.
