Something is stirring in the crypt, and we’re pretty sure it’s the best costume contest in town. 🦴 First Magnitude and the Florida Park Service Ranger Association present the Halloween Ball: a costume contest, a dance party, and a night where the dead absolutely do not rest in peace. Now is the time to raid the thrift store, dust off the sewing machine, and get the glue gun hot. Give the judges an impossible job! 🎃
COSTUME CONTEST The contest kicks off at 8 PM on our stage, with prizes in four categories up for grabs: 🌲 Best Outdoor Activity 🏕️ Best Nature/Park Themed 👽 Best Pop Culture/Current Event Themed ⭐ Judges’ Choice
Prizes will be awarded to both individuals and groups, and winners strut away with First Magnitude gift cards and swag. Bring the whole coven.
ALES FROM THE CRYPT Our Ales from the Crypt beer series will be pouring all night, so you can loosen up for the dance floor. (More on that soon 👀)
THE GOOD CAUSE This fright night does some good. The Ball is a fundraiser for the Florida Park Service Ranger Association, the khaki-collared crew who protect our state parks all year long. A $10 donation at the door gets you a wristband for $1 off full pours all night, and every dollar goes to the rangers.
THE DETAILS 📅 Friday, October 30th 🕖 7 to 11 PM (contest at 8 PM) 📍 First Magnitude Brewing Co., 1220 SE Veitch St., Gainesville, FL 32601 🎟️ Free entry, donations at the door
Make it weird, make it wonderful, and bring it to the Ball. 🥳👻
